Principal Consultants are responsible for developing and leading Traverse’s work for a business sector or service area. The role is largely external facing and you will be responsible for representing the company to clients and partner organisations, building external relationships, understanding our clients’ needs and working creatively to find solutions to their problems. You will lead, enthuse and develop staff who may work across a number of areas and direct project delivery. You may continue to undertake project delivery work particularly in your expert area.

Senior consultants lead, manage and contribute to a number of projects, which may include research, evaluation, engagement, consultation and change management. You'll be responsible and accountable for project design and planning, budget management, project performance and business development. Projects are likely to be more complex and longer-term than at Consultant level. You will also be responsible for day to day management of client relationships.
You will also be supporting Traverse through different ways including:
Consultants at Traverse work closely with project managers and project directors to support the effective delivery of a number of projects, which may include research, evaluation, engagement, consultation and change management. This will include providing research, analysis, evaluation, facilitation, project management and coordination support.

We offer our clients a bespoke service, adapting to their individual needs which means that with every project, our work changes. To manage this changing set of requirements, we call upon a pool of flexible Project Support staff, called the Response Unit, to support our core staff in delivering projects to the highest standard.
The support provided by the Response Unit covers a range of tasks and skills. We are looking for applicants who can assist on a combination of the tasks detailed in the job description but the key project support requirements for our current schedule of projects are:
