Health and Social Care

At Traverse we’re especially proud of our health and social care practice. We believe that good health and care systems are shaped by those who work in them, use them and support them.

We have a thirty-year history of supporting health and care systems to:

  • evaluate programmes of change and innovation to gather insight and learning,
  • undertake mixed methods research to understand what people think,
  • engage with people so they can influence the decisions that affect them,
  • consult with people to understand a range of views to inform change and decision making,
  • develop leaders to deliver integrated change programmes.

Our Head of Health and Social Care, Jessie Cunnett, would be pleased to work with you to explore your needs and how we can draw on our experience and expertise to help.

We are genuinely inspired by the projects we undertake for and with our clients that cover important and current topics such as:

All of our work at Traverse is underpinned by how we can deliver positive social impact. We don’t undertake projects where we can’t identify how we might achieve this. In the context of our work in health and care, social impact is about how we make a positive contribution to a system of health and care by engaging people in research and enquiry about health and wellness in the context of wider social values such as human rights, justice, equality and respect for diversity.

We take pride in our client list that includes; the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and Improvement, Health Education England, Integrated Care Systems and local Health and Care Trusts across England, the Care Quality Commission, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Oxford Academic Health Science Network.

Whether we are working with senior leaders, employees or people who use services our work in health and social care is informed by a focus on:

Rigour: we deliver high quality evidence, based on rigorous methods.

Inclusive practice: in order to involve the widest range of voices in our work we are continually developing our practice to reflect the diversity of society.

Lived experience: we believe that the people affected by a decision should have a role in it that goes beyond being informed.

Capacity building: as an employee owned business we know the value of collaboration, and we help our clients to develop the skills and capability to make good decisions
