We're delighted to announce the appointment of leading innovation consultant Janine Chandler as our new chair of the board.
Adding to our senior team, Adrian Crossley has joined Traverse as associate director for local and central government, having previously worked as head of criminal justice and addiction at the Centre for Social Justice.
Senior healthcare leader in Breda Flaherty has also joined Traverse as associate director to lead the consultancy’s strategic advisory practice within the health and social care sector.
These new appointments join a raft of promotions within our senior team, to support our ambitious plans for growth.
As an expert in innovation, marketing strategy and supporting leaders in delivering transformations, Janine Chandler will bring over 30 years’ experience to the role of chair at Traverse. Previously a partner at Good Innovation, Janine now heads up Jump in Puddles innovation consultancy and is chair of MyBigCareer.
She has formerly held senior positions at Cancer Research UK, the Central Office of Information (COI) and the BBC.
Janine will take over as chair of the Traverse board from Dr Chih Hoong Sin, who has stepped down from the role after nearly two years in post.
Speaking about her appointment, Janine said:
“My focus for the last 15 years has been to increase positive social impact, so I am thrilled to be joining forces with Traverse at this exciting time. I am inspired by the ambition to be at the heart of the big decisions that matter.
“In a world that is becoming increasingly complex, uncertain, and ambiguous, many key decision makers would truly benefit from Traverse’s unique evidence based and inclusive approach."
Nick Johnson, CEO of Traverse said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Janine to Traverse and thrilled that she has chosen to share her innovative approach and wealth of knowledge with us. We have ambitious plans for growth and for increasing our social impact, and Janine’s impressive track record of success speaks for itself.
“Like us, Janine believes in improving social outcomes through the power of inclusion and we look forward to achieving more for society together.
“I’m also excited to welcome Adrian and Breda to our senior leadership team and add their vast expertise and knowledge of the justice system and leadership in health and social care respectively to the table. Not only that, but I’m proud that we continue to recognise and reward our existing talent through promotions and new opportunities within Traverse.”
