Duncan is a qualitative researcher with commercial and public policy experience across the UK and Middle East.
Recently, my work has focussed on attitudes towards democratic participation, social cohesion and extremism in the UK and Middle East. This has involved evaluation, as well as research to inform strategy and policy. Whilst based in Northern Iraq, I designed a neighbourhood research project to understand how local communities remain resilient to local drivers of conflict. I believe that in-depth qualitative projects like this can help tackle social problems through understanding the world from other people’s perspectives.
At Traverse I’m excited to apply my experience to engagement, evaluation and research on a range of policy areas.
