Tazmin joined Traverse as a new graduate of American literature and creative writing. She began her time here as a project support member and saw much of the company before joining the consultation team in her full-time role as project coordinator.
"I have long since understood the value of all voices and my university degree, more than its title might first suggest, developed my understanding of the social inequalities that are shaped by selective hearing. My year at a Canadian university was an experience in navigating the cultural and social differences we had been studying in our English classrooms. My education gave me an understanding of socio-economic barriers in America which allowed me to identify those reflected at home and I graduated having grown into an analyst, a critical thinker and a storyteller. I found myself very grateful to be able to join a company like Traverse who are dedicated to amplifying all voices."
